I’ve done this before, but I’ll do it again. Hi, I’m mad, in case we haven’t met!
The Rules: The challenge is – “Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge”. Thanks to Mon for nominating me, I said I’d give it a try and here I am!
Well since very few, if any, have bothered to take up the challenges I’ve sent their way, I’ve decided to forgo nominations this time. My Vulcan side tells me I’m either too bad at matching challenges and people (and yes, I put in effort at that) or people don’t really care. I’m not going to say I’m throwing it open for anyone wishing to take the challenge up either.

Most people might not get this. I shot from across a valley, a government school on the opposite hill-side. I’ve never been to a village school, maybe that’s why I’ve always romanticized them in a way. This was as great an example as any, a red bricked building, an assembly ground outside and a great big tree in the schoolyard to play on and under. Not a very clear shot, this was a 200 mm lens at its maximum, but lovely enough for me still

About hbhatnagar
I need to fill this up with much better content than I had populated it with earlier. Why I write a blog maybe? I started blogging in 2009 or thereabouts. I was a newly turned atheist and wanted to converse with others of the same persuasion. We're not exactly a big population group in India! It didn't go very well and I sort of lost interest, posting a few things now and then.
I got a lot more regular over the last few months and have been posting almost daily since February '15. There were many reasons why I gradually became more regular in posting, but one way or the other, here I am! So this blog has taken shape, being at different points in time my showcase, my comedy club, my art gallery, my book club, my therapist, my close friend, my innermost self....but always my little corner of the world. You are all welcome to visit and I hope you stay awhile!
A few points about me because I don't want to lead anyone on(and trust me this does become an issue more often than I'd care to admit).
I'm Indian, the brown-skinned variety; if race, ethnicity or skin colour is an issue, you don't have to get to know me any more than what you see on my blog.
I'm 40, so if age is an issue, please be informed accordingly.
I was a doctor, an ophthalmic surgeon for 10 years before I quit practice.
The picture is so lovely.. the big shady tree in the background, school constructed with red bricks and the plateaus above.. beautiful :):)

The green field and tree and the red brick building made a very lovely photo. I have enjoyed your 5 days, 5 photos, Dr. Hb! 🙂

Thanks! I just wish I had started early enough to have been able to click this pic without all the UV haze. 🙂
I hope you enjoy the remaining two days as well!

Thank you. It’s blurred, but I had no tripod handy.

The view is so beautiful that blurrdiness of the picture can be overlooked.
That banyan tree is like a cherry on the cake.

I saw a much bigger, older, more widespread one but there was no way I could have gotten it all in view. 😦
