Thanks to Visakha over at notionlux for nominating me for this award. Been a while since I got one! 🙂
The One Lovely Blog Award was created by Sara from Works of Art as a way to recognize her favorite blogs. Recipients pay it forward by passing the award along to their favorite blogs.
Award Rules:
- You must thank the person who nominated you and includes a link to their blog.
- You must list the rules and display the award.
- You must add 7 facts about yourself.
- You must nominate 15 other bloggers and leave a comment on one of their posts to let them know they have been nominated.
I do not nominate people for awards since it takes time and effort and then I feel bad if no one picks up the baton and runs with it. So thank you Visakha, but that’s one of the rules I will not follow! 🙂
Seven facts…..
- I come from a family that can trace its lineage back six centuries, and probably the last twig of that tree who knows it and finds it worth something
- I’m borderline OCN when it comes to keeping things “just this way”.
- I do not lend my books, I can’t handle it when people bend and crease the spines!
- I can cook, but I’m too lazy to do so
- I like series episodes where friends do something in unison, without having planned it, like one friend humming and the rest joining in….I never had that kind of friendship
- I used to write pretentious poetry in Victorian English back when I was in college.
- I have been a Strategy game nerd in the very recent past.
So that’s it! No nominations and not even an invitation to take up this challenge if you want to, I know y’all don’t want to. 🙂
Haha! You can break all the rules you want!! Each to his own. 🙂
Thanks for sharing some honest things about yourself! Good luck. 🙂

AOE2-The Conquerors Expansion, though Rise of Nations-Thrones and Patriots comes a close second. Which one’s yours?

AOE 2 is certainly the best in the series. AOE 3 looks pretty but somehow the magic is lost. As for Thrones and Patriots, I did enjoy playing with the Indian civilization. Nice little details with the music and the occasional Hindi.
But my absolute favourite is the Civilization series. It’s turn based strategy, and somewhat like Rise of Nations in that a gameply can span from the Medieval age to the Space age but so much more addicting in my opinion.

TBS vs RTS, the debate goes on. 🙂
I found Civilization slow for my taste, RTS offered a mix of strategy and combat. Rome:Total War tried to do a different mix but failed. Empire Earth, ditto. I must mention the two CnC series of course, Tiberian Sun and Kane’s Wrath were my favourite iterations, and RA 3- Uprising as well. 🙂

I used to be an RTS nut in college but these days I find myself drawn to TBSs and sometimes the playing will go on until 5 AM in the morning or so 🙂 I should also probably say that I don’t find combat interesting anymore so I’m more into the “building a prosperous empire” kinda thing. 😀

I tried non-fighting builders like Medieval Sims and city builders but that was too drastic a change. 😀
Nowadays I play very, very occasionally.

I’m probably Monica in the search of love, phoebe cause of her general weirdness and joey for the love of food! 😀
Craving for French fries and a sandwich topped with lots and lots of cheese and probably it would be wise to add Alfredo pasta to that mix too!
I love to eat!!!!! 😀

Ah, that kabab! So soft and tender, it melts in your mouth! It does help though, that I had a great Chicken Changezi for lunch though! 😀
