Lake Luzern was surprisingly shallow for quite some distance. Mountain lakes, formed in hollows gouged by ancient glaciers go deep very fast as you move in from the shore, but a couple of hundred metres from the pier, the lake-bed was still clearly visible.
It was literally the middle of the week, but the beautiful weather had still brought the sailor out in some people.
The shiny brass bell on the ferry caught many an eye, I had to wait in line to click this shot. 😀
