It was finally time to say goodbye and I turned around to capture one last shot…You can see the steep, narrow stairway winding up to the top of the rock on the far left.

As we finally neared the rock and just before we anchored to the landing stage, the ferry took us into the spray on either side. The force, the noise, the spray, it was an experience worth the effort..
The second ferry finally arrived and we clambered on. It took it’s lazy, circuitous route to the landing platform at the base of the rock, giving us some lovely views of Rheinfall head-on.
